Today was an unexpected blessing…a SNOW day!  In our area I think people have been a little nervous about winter weather this year because last year we had a monster ice storm that knocked out power for weeks.  We were personally without power for 19 days.  It was awful.  I didn’t take many pictures of it because we were in survival mode.  Thankfully, instead of ice this year, we have had snow on at least 3 different occasions.  This has been the first time that I have been able to get out and photograph it.  I had no idea how much fun it would be to take our “dog child” out.  Typically, we have to coax him to go out and do his business when there is snow.  However, today we bundled up for a photo safari through the woods which quickly turned into a Topaz photo shoot.  Topaz, our labradoodle, was hilarious.  He had ALOT of energy to burn and we loved watching him race around the yard and the woods playing in the snow.  He is soooo fast and you better not move if he is running at you because if you do, you will get hit.  If you stand still he will miss you everytime.  It’s funny how he has already calculated how to run around you but barely skim your pant leg.  You have to learn to trust him because you feel like you are about to be pummeled flat on your back.

Outside our back door.  This was a beautiful, wet snow that coated everything.

A  dead hydrangea bush covered in snow but there is something beautiful about it….

Just the mailbox..

Topaz racing around the woods…

Trying to eat the BIG stick…

Resting a little…

He is having soo much fun.  I love watching him.

Fetching the stick….

I think he ate a little…and he didn’t want to look at me at all! He can be so stubborn.

Just a few more from our flower bed…

Please keep praying for Jenny Bazillion.  Last night was touch and go for several hours but today she is making small positive steps.  The docters admit that prayer is the only explanation for many of the improvements she has made.  Right now, she needs to be able to get off her blood pressure medications so please pray for that!
